Why, hello there! I know…it’s been a while. This little thing called finally–and officially–launching Advance Church has consumed me, my family, and a whole lot of our friends for the last few months, so KLP has most definitely faded to the background. I’m happy to report, though, that I’m back and looking forward to some fun shoots this spring. First, though, I thought I’d post a handful of shots from Advance’s grand opening weekend so that you can see what I’ve been up to since I’ve been gone.
All right…
On Saturday, March 24, my husband sent some members of the launch team out to begin hand-distributing more than 8,000 grand opening flyers. Meanwhile, my boys and I kicked off a 24-hour prayer event in one of Advance’s back rooms…
By Wednesday, the sign we’d been waiting to see go up since January finally arrived to replace our humble ‘lil banner.
On Friday, March 30, the parking lot was roped off to clear space for the free skateboarding demo…
Which featured Advancer Dave Shumaker and Let It Roll Skateboarding.
Back over at the grill, folks enjoyed some free grub…
While the kids played games inside before watching ‘Hop..”
We spent Saturday giving away gift cards and more than 4,000 Otter Pops at the Extreme Thing Sports and Music Festival…
…before welcoming everyone back to Advance on Sunday for the official grand opening experience…
It was a day 14 months in the making for this founding core group, and we can’t wait to see what God does next.
